Laws of Gambling - Rules to live by
The 10 unspoken Laws of gambling
1. Have FUN. If you're not enjoying your experience stop playing and
come back another time.
2. Try not to rely on GUT FEELINGS. Gambling is mainly based on mathematics
so try to play the best odds.
3. Remember the odds are against you in the long-run. But in the SHORT-TERM
your bank roll will go up and down dramatically.
4. The more complicated the rules the better your chances of winning
when played CORRECTLY. Games like Blackjack, Baccarat and Craps have
the best odds when played correctly.
5. Remember to set a LIMIT for yourself and you'll never find you're
in trouble. If you can't afford to lose the money, the best way to
avoid losing it is not to gamble.
6. DON'T bet against yourself. You want to bet that you'll win, not
that you'll lose. An 'insurance' bet in Blackjack is never recommended.
7. A game of pure CHANCE has no winning system. Luck is luck. Games
like Slots, Roulette have no systematic strategy for winning.
8. Understand the RULES before you begin to play. This way there will
be no surprises in the end.
9. When gambling, be REALISTIC. It's a game of chance and the house
does have a small advantage.
10. Try to avoid any GIMMICKS. A lot of games have side-bets whose
house edge is much too high. Stick to the standard games and odds,
this is in your best interests.
